Antennas - Rooftop
Rooftop antennas over 12 feet require a building permit.
 
Bicycle Licenses
Bicycle licenses must be purchased every three years at the Police Department.
 
Dumping of Trash or Yard Waste
It is illegal to dump yard waste or trash in vacant lots, public streets or landfills. Certain varieties of tall weeds and grasses are also prohibited.

This page contains guidelines for Electronic Pet Containment systems, which serve as non-physical means of controlling animals, primarily dogs, on residential property through negative response mechanisms such as static shock, high-frequency sound, or citronella spray when the animal nears a boundary of the “fence” or containment area.

Parkway Maintenance
The city owns the parkways, which in residential areas, is the land between the curb and sidewalk. Residents are responsible for mowing and maintaining their parkway.
 
Sign Posting
Placing any type of sign in the public right-of-way, such as parkways or medians, is prohibited.
 
Solicitors, Peddlers, Food Vendors, Tag Days
It shall be unlawful for any person to engage door to door peddling or soliciting in the city without having first obtained a license. A photo ID badge and reflective safety vest issued by the City Clerk’s Office shall be worn at all time of the peddling/solicitation. No license shall be issued without the approval of the Naperville Police Department and the City Clerk. Any person desiring to obtain a license to solicit or peddle shall apply with the City Clerk’s office.
